Full Professor of Banking, University of St. Gallen

The University of St. Gallen, Switzerland - a leading University in Business Administration, Economics, Law and Social Sciences - seeks to appoint a Full Professor of Banking by February 1, 2011 or mutual agreement.

The holder of the tenured position will be active in research and teaching at the University of St. Gallen and will occupy a leading position on the Executive Committee of the Swiss Institute of Banking and Finance (s/bf-HSG). The research of the candidate can include areas relating to bank management, risk management, financial intermediation, banking system, bank regulation, and others.

We are seeking candidates with an internationally recognized publication record and proven teaching ability. A research record equivalent to that required for a habilitation is expected.

Applications from appropriately qualified women are particularly welcome.

Bocconi University Visiting Professor Program 2010/2011

The Program is intended to develop and nurture teaching excellence at the undergraduate, graduate and PhD level. It establishes a framework for the long-term collaborative development of scholarly teaching in different areas between Partner Universities involved. Moreover, it provides special opportunities for collaborative work between faculty members and allows students and professors to share international perspectives.

Specific information on the positions available - Long and Short Term - can be found on Bocconi website http://www.unibocconi.eu/facultyrecruiting . The areas of interest are all those within the fields of Economics, Management, Finance, Decision Sciences, Public Management and Law.

3 Full Professors in Marketing WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business)

WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) is currently inviting applications for three positions at the Department of Marketing at Full Professor level:

  1. Marketing Management (Ref.no. 152867);
  2. Marketing with focus on Consumer Behavior (Ref.no. 152967);
  3. Marketing with focus on Service Marketing (Ref.no. 153067)
Subject to the applicant pool generated, WU Vienna will also consider splitting one of these posts and offer part-time appointments instead.

The new professors will be members of the senior faculty of the Department of Marketing. They will contribute their expertise to enhance the Department’s profile, and will be expected to work closely with all staff and faculty members.

Applicants should have: a) a solid academic qualification (e.g. PhD, Habilitation); b) an outstanding international reputation in high quality scholarship in the relevant area of Marketing, especially by having demonstrated the ability to publish in top-tier journals of the field; c) a strong record in attracting research funding; d) an interest in teaching at bachelor, master, and PhD levels as well as a demonstrated commitment to excellence in executive teaching; and e) proven leadership qualities.

The successful candidate will participate in teaching programs at all levels (Bachelor, MSc, PhD and Executive Education). Teaching experience in English is required; teaching experience in German is not necessary. Non-German-speaking candidates will be expected to acquire proficiency in German over a certain period of time.
