CEMS Marenostrum 2020:
We are sorry to announce that the Marenostrum 2020 in Koç University has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
We apologise for the inconvenience.
-------
Koç University and CEMS Club Istanbul are very excited to present Marenostrum 2020, on April 17th to April 18th in Istanbul, Turkey. Annually, CEMS universities in the Mediterranean Region organize Marenostrum and invite CEMS students around the world to learn and discuss a specific topic. This year we will tackle the concept of sustainability as a strategy.
We would like to explore what today’s world is doing to achieve sustainability, for which governments and companies are still struggling to maintain a reliable course of action and a steady roadmap.
To investigate, we invited L’Oreal and Arçelik, each of which has well-established sustainability measures for their multinational production and business lines, and would like to share their best practices and experiences as to how to deal with the issue of sustainability. Furthermore, Ernst & Young will share insights into the driving forces to become climate neutral and offer a practical set of consulting skills to advice companies to become climate neutral. (The invited companies are subject to change)
The event will be held on April 17th-18th in İstanbul and will consist of 3 half-day seminars, each worth 0,25 CEMS ECTS. At the end of the second day (April 18th) we will have a boat party on the Bosphorus. The applications will be evaluated on a first-come-first-serve basis, therefore there will not be a need for CV or motivational letters.
There is no registration fee, participation is free. Catering (breakfast and lunch) will be free of charge for all participants. We also offer free accommodation to the first 19 people to apply.
Stay tuned for more information about the seminars and exclusive events in İstanbul!
