The CEMS APAC Week a 5-day recruitment and learning event with numerous activities for CEMS students. During this week, 3 skill seminars were organized by Beiersdorf, DHL Consulting and the CEMS Entrepreneurs. Over 60 students had the chance to receive professional training on project management, unconscious biases, product launch from a finance perspective, presentation skills and more, including self-sabotage and using your energy sustainably by Dr. Laura Joan Salm, Conscious Leadership Coach and CEMS Alum of 2012 (USYD/HEC/LSE).
Laura held a skill seminar with 20 CEMS students on ‘Sustainable E’: Making use of your energy in a sustainable way. Her research and coaching is based on the Positive Intelligence (PQ) work and during the 3-hour seminar, students were able to learn more about themselves and reflect on their personal strengths and reactive tendencies. The seminar introduced mental fitness, how to identify and weaken self-saboteurs, and how to assume a sage perspective to become a more effective leader.
Moreover, over 55 CEMS students joined career workshops organized by Hilti and AlphaSights. The speakers included recruiters, HR experts and CEMS alumni located in Asia-Pacific who kindly shared insights about recruitment, career opportunities, how to ace a virtual interview, how to differentiate yourself in the recruitment process and their CEMS experience in their respective companies.
Finally, this year’s CEMS APAC Week was concluded the Rotational Chats with CEMS Alumni working at Corporate Partners. For this second edition, we welcomed CEMS alumni working and living in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. Students were able to network and ask all their questions to experienced alumni about work, life, studies and even more.
The CEMS APAC Week provided a unique occasion to cast further light on the continuously growing CEMS Asia-Pacific region, allowing students and alumni to connect with CEMS Corporate Partners and prepare their next career step.
