In the third week of March 2022, CEMS Club Barcelona hosted the CEMS Marenostrum Forum on behalf of ESADE Business School, from March 23rd to 25th. CEMSies from 18 different CEMS Universities and 25 different nationalities attended the two-day networking event including skill seminars and workshops with CEMS Corporate Partners and CEMS Alumni as well as exploring the beautiful city of Barcelona!
This year, the event focused on the topic of ‘Conscious Consumption’. The theme of conscious consumption means knowledge and awareness regarding the impact that our consumption has on society, and whether this impact is sustainable. Current students and upcoming generations are the next group of leaders to enter into the workforce and are aware that sustainability is at the forefront of their minds.
The CEMS Marenostrum team worked to the best of their abilities to organise this event, one of the first in-person events following the easing of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. The event was one of the first CEMS Regional Events to be organised back in a physical setting.
During these two days, students had the opportunity to learn from experienced representatives from CEMS Corporate Partners, including Amplifon, Boston Consulting Group and Société Générale. Attending corporate representatives organised interactive seminars including case studies which allowed participants to get insights various key points such as corporate banking, consulting, noise pollution, social impact measurement, and well-being.
The CEMS Marenostrum also offered various networking opportunities for students, alumni and Corporate Partners to discuss the seminars, topic and get to know each other during social activities.
Feedback from participants showed that the event was well received and was also a good learning experience for the organising team. The CEMS Global Alliance is looking forward to the next CEMS Marenostrum which will be held in Portugal in 2023.
Stay tuned for more information to come.
