CEMS V4 Conference 2023

The Visegrád Group (also known as the Visegrád Four, the V4, or the European Quartet) is a cultural and political alliance of four Central European countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. Today, these countries participate through their schools (SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Corvinus Business School and Prague University of Economics and Business) in the annual CEMS V4 Conference.

This year, the V4 Conference was held in Budapest, hosted by the Corvinus University of Budapest from April 19th to 20th. 50 students from various schools in the area participated in the event.

This annual regional event spanned four days and included a range of professional, social and networking activities, mainly focused on the topic of Energy crisis and Greensifting. Participating students had the opportunity to learn information and skills from various corporate partners, on questions such as what strategic solutions these businesses are planning to implement, how do they want to react, what kind of responsibility do they take in the green shifting and how it affects their industries.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the fantastic corporate partners, by leading some truly discerning skill seminars! Thank you MET Group, Procter & Gamble, Société Générale who shared a lot about green shifting. Thank you to Google as well for their insights on AI technologies.

In addition to this appealing agenda, one other highlight was the CEMS x Entrepreneurs event, which exceeded the typical rotational dinner format. Several incredibly successful Hungarian entrepreneurs gathered with the students to share their tips & tricks and discuss with the participations.

Finally, participants used these few days to discover the lively city of Budapest through a themed walking tour where they were able to gain an insight into what role the most prestigious hotel played in the city’s life in the Soviet era. The event ended with a closing gala, where around a hundred CEMSies gathered to network and have fun!

Congratulations to the organizing team, to Corvinus Business School and to all participants who attended this successful event!
