What Makes Us Special?
SSE is the leading business school in Sweden founded over 110 years ago. We provide research-based education with a close tie to the business community and many of our researchers are among the leading figures in their respective fields.
SSE offers programs of the highest international standards, including Bachelor, Master, PhD, Executive MBA and Executive Education programs. Our programs are developed in close cooperation with the research and business communities, which give our graduates great potential to attain leading positions in companies and other organizations worldwide.
What to Expect on Campus
Since SSE opened its doors, countless students have walked through our halls, and we look forward to welcoming many more in the years and decades ahead. Over time, our campus has grown, with new buildings added to support a vibrant academic community. Our students particularly enjoy our city campus, conveniently located just two stops from the central station. No matter where you live — north, south, east, or west — getting to campus is easy. Buses, trains, metro lines, and even boats are all just minutes away, and many of our students, faculty, and staff also choose to walk or bike, embracing the campus’s accessibility and central location.
Unique study environment
At SSE, education is not just about the mind—it involves the body and soul as well. To reflect this philosophy, several rooms on campus have been transformed into unique art-infused learning environments in collaboration with internationally renowned artists. Each space is designed to enhance reflection, creativity, and engagement, supporting the School’s educational mission “FREE” to graduate decision-makers who exhibit a Fact- and Science-based mindset, Reflection and self-awareness, Empathy and cultural literacy, and Entrepreneurship with responsibility.
Students, faculty, and visitors can explore ten of these distinctive spaces: seven classrooms, the boardroom, the Lighthouse Room for meetings and study, and the Heckscher-Ohlin Room for seminars and events. Each room invites reflection and interaction, making SSE not just a place to learn, but a space to experience education in a truly immersive way. Feel free to check them out here!
Join our Art, Sport and Tech Initiative
Being a student at SSE means much more than academics alone. At SSE, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in three distinctive initiatives beyond your studies:
- SSE’s Art Initiative embeds art in the academic environment of SSE to make the school even more knowledge intensive and to enrich the lives of students, faculty and staff.
- SSE’s Sport Initiative embeds sports in the academic environment of SSE with the aim of making the School more knowledge-intensive. We work primarily with inspirational lectures, forums, field trips, physical exercise, as well as other activities and events.
- SSE’s Tech Initiative empowers students to tackle the world’s challenges by becoming reflective, empathetic, and entrepreneurial technology-enabled leaders and innovators. It brings faculty, students, alumni, and partners together to explore how technology has transformed both our contemporary business life and our society. Our students will meet thought and business leaders in the tech industry, critically discuss and reflect upon technological advancements in academic seminars, and learn how to use and leverage technology in practical workshops.

Living in the City
Stockholm is not only the capital of Scandinavia, but is also considered to be one of the most modern and open cities in the world and excels in the areas of sustainability, education, IT, social welfare, equality and culture.
To study in Stockholm is to broaden your horizons in a metropolitan jewel – encrusted with beautiful archipelago islands, sweeping green parks and nature reserves, Stockholm is regarded by many to be one of Europe’s most beautiful capitals with its many bridges connecting the islands that make up the city center.
If you consider the great musical exports such as Zara Larsson, Tove Lo, Abba, Roxette, Robyn, Avicii, and Max Martin, you can just imagine the melting pot of up and coming artists that Stockholm represents.
