Stefano will focus on his experience and what his current company has done so far in order to increase innovation in Europe and allow technologies to be developed and scaled-up from the European Union. In addition, he will present a general overview of the Start-up market and its challenges to raise capital.
More about Stefano Marzario: Stefano is a Senior Investment Officer at a major European based bank & financial establishment, EIB. Since 2017, Stefano has managed Growth Capital/ Venture Debt investments in Europe, with a special focus on the Biotech sector. Before joining his current company, Stefano worked for several years in the Investment Banking division in Milan and London. Stefano led and executed several international M&A and Leveraged Finance transactions. He started his career in a large German banking company where he worked as a Credit Risk Officer in the Frankfurt and Milan office. Stefano holds an MSc in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan and is a CEMS Alumnus from 2007 (Bocconi/ CUB).
More about Joel Theisen: Joël is a CEMS Alumnus 2014 (LSM & HSG) and currently works as a Senior Consultant at Zeb consulting based in Luxembourg. He also provides support to the fellow CEMS Alumni community as the Local Alumni Chapter Luxembourg President.
