Yen Teik Lee is a Senior Lecturer at NUS. His areas of research are corporate finance, corporate innovation, financial intermediation, and financial innovation. Before joining NUS, he was an Assistant Professor of Finance at Asia School of Business and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), a Senior Lecturer at Curtin Singapore, and a visiting scholar at both New York University Stern School of Business and Cambridge Judge Business School. He is the recipient of the Society of Financial Studies Finance Cavalcade Best Paper in Corporate Finance Award 2013 and SUFE Excellent Teachers Award 2015. His works have been featured on The Economist (blog), The Columbia Law School Blue Sky Blog, BBC World Service, The Star, and South China Morning Post and published in the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Fixed Income, and Journal of Business Venture Insights. Yen Teik received his Ph.D. in Business (Finance) from Singapore Management University.
Student Host
Lai Yuen is a final year student studying Finance and Business Economics at NUS. His research interests are in the fields of asset pricing, cryptocurrencies and decentralised finance. He is the co-president of the NUS FinTech society where he strives to empower fellow students by equipping them with the passion, skills, and experience required to excel in future FinTech careers.
He is currently working as a crypto investment analyst at a family office where he conducts deep research into the latest investment opportunities in the crypto space.
