From February 20th to 22nd 2023, 23 CEMS Club Presidents and 5 organising members from the Student Board were gathered in person at the Louvain School of Management (LSM) and 4 CEMS Club Presidents joined the meeting online.
During the three-day conference, the Presidents had the opportunity to have an issue and solution-sharing session, network, discuss best practices and brainstorm on development and collaboration between their local CEMS Clubs. The Presidents were welcomed on Thurday at the CEMS Meet & Greet, bringing together local CEMS students, alumni and Corporate Partners
This year’s conference was even more memorable as it marked the return of CEMS Clubs Canada, Santiago, Singapore, Sydney and USA, which were previously unable to participate in-person.
Day 1 – A warm welcome and networking session
Friday at the CEMS Club Conference was buzzing! Student Board Reps welcomed the attendees, followed by quick introductions from each Club President, setting the stage for collaboration. An informative introduction session with the Local CEMS Office followed, and then updates on global developments were provided by Franziska Lukas, a representative of the CEMS Student Board Executive Team, and Margaux Berras from the Global Office.In the afternoon, the Presidents explored LSM‘s OpenHub. Following a productive working session, the evening featured an activity and dinner organized in collaboration with Corporate Partner AB InBev. Attendees learned about the company's history, mission, portfolio, and career opportunities.
Day 2 – The CEMS Club Awards and Collaborative discussions
The second day was started with the long-awaited CEMS Club Awards - Best Practice! These were divided into 6 categories and an overall award for Best CEMS Club.

The afternoon buzzed with collaborative energy as Presidents dove into issue-sharing sessions. Small teams brainstormed solutions to common challenges, then shared their insights with the wider group, aiming to elevate every CEMS Club. Key discussions centered on global integration, club cohesion, mental health awareness, and strategies to boost event attendance. After closing remarks, the Presidents wrapped up the conference with a final dinner together.

The objectives achieved over the course of the three days were the following:
- Connect among Presidents
- Present strengths and weaknesses of each CEMS Club
- Learn best practices from the other CEMS Clubs
- Get insights & updates on the Global Office and Student Board

- Create initiatives within the Buddy Program
- Visit Corporate Partners
The CEMS Student Board would like to thank all presidents for taking the time to attend the 21st CCC. The insights shared during the conference will help local clubs improve and inspire them to work on winning next semester’s Best Practice awards by representing the CEMS values as best as possible!
