We would like to extend a round of applause to our CEMS Alumni of the Year 2020 Winners.
To celebrate these diverse successes of our alumni, the Global Office, Student Board & the CEMS Alumni Association has instituted the CEMS Alumni of the Year awards. The CEMS Alumni Awards are presented annually to outstanding alumni in recognition of excellent contributions to promote one or many of the CEMS values based on the 5 important parameters below:
- Global Citizenship
- Cultural Diversity
- Professional Responsibility
- Professional Accountability
- Impact on society as a whole
Nominations can be contributed by the following CEMS Community members: students, alumni, academic representative (i.e. program manager, corporate relations manager, academic director, CP, GO etc.).

Senior Category: Florence Gillette, HEC/ UoC, 1992
Florence began her career at P&G but then transitioned away from her financial career to the Red Cross, where she has been for the last thirteen years. She has traveled the globe such as: Sudan, Philippines, Pakistan, to name a few, where she has demonstrated her commitment towards the betterment of people and society as a whole.
Mid-Career Category: Alexis Soulopoulos, USYD, ESADE, 2014
Straight after graduating from university, Alexis co-founded Mad Paws, Australia's #1 pet service marketplace with 600,000 pet owners. In addition he co-founded the Sharing Hub, Australia's leading accelerator and working space for sharing economy businesses. Lastly, Alexis continues to be a guest speaker and lecturer at University of Sydney for current & future CEMSies.
Junior Category: Laura Di Santolo, RMS/ WU, 2018
Laura has established a fantastic social enterprise with a fellow CEMSie, Diederick van der Wijk, called Forward Incubator, with the purpose of helping individuals with a refugee background to launch their business. Laura continues to give back to CEMS as a fellow mentor and guest speaker.
Thanks to all within the CEMS Community who cast their vote! The race was very close this year, but we would like to give a warm round of applause to our awardees and all of the candidates.
