After five years, the CEMS Marenostrum returned to Milan. The event, which rotates every year between the CEMS clubs from Mediterranean countries, offered a three-day programme with the theme “The New Frontiers of the job market between Innovation and Sustainability”. A total of 75 participants gathered at Bocconi University representing a total of 25 CEMS Clubs.
The CEMS Marenostrum consisted of a combination of professional development and social activities. It started on Thursday, April 18, with a networking cocktail with participants, students, and alumni. On the following Friday, participants had the opportunity to attend skill seminars and company presentations from Corporate Partners, before a dinner hosted at Bocconi University that concluded the day. On Saturday, April 20, students joined a panel discussion on entrepreneurship by fellow CEMS Alumni working in the start-up world as founders or investors, competed in an innovation challenge, and celebrated with a closing gala. On Sunday, participants enjoyed a city tour, discovering hidden spots open for the Milan Design Week.
This year's Corporate Partners included Accenture, Barilla Group, Capgemini Invent, EF Education First, EssilorLuxottica, Kearney and Monitor Deloitte.
The CEMS Club Milan worked together with the CEMS managers at Bocconi university and the Milan Alumni Representative to shape the event and its content.
"We started preparations in November and it has been an incredible journey that has taken months of hard work. But then the forum itself exceeded all our expectations: it was incredible to see students, alumni and partners joining together in Milan from all over the world” says Riccardo Guido, who led the organizing team together with Benedikt Fabiszisky.
