What's one exciting challenge you're working on at the moment?
Right now, I'm in the middle of switching jobs, and alongside that, I'm facing a bigger decision: whether to build something of my own, a startup or an entrepreneurial project, or to embrace on a new “corporate” adventure. It's a lot to juggle as there's a lot out there to be inspired by, tons of information, and too many AI tools . But I see this as a good moment to embrace the challenge, take action, and dive into something new.
How has CEMS shaped your entrepreneurial journey?
When I started CEMS, the CEMS Entrepreneurs community already existed, and I got involved right away, by organising the flagship Startup Challenge, which put me in touch with a lot of interesting people, entrepreneurs and investors and it gave me my first real, hands-on connection to the industry.
That network led me to working at Bocconi University’s entrepreneurial hub, specifically at its investment platform. Looking back, that first step through CEMS Entrepreneurs is really what opened the door to where I am today.
How do you leverage the CEMS Alumni network? Tell us more about your work with the CEMS Entrepreneurs.
I engage with the CEMS alumni network wherever I go. If I'm traveling somewhere new, I'll check LinkedIn or the CEMS alumni platform to see if any alumnus is based there, then reach out to connect or grab a coffee, maybe swap some ideas, and get a more authentic feel for the city through someone who actually lives there.
Through CEMS Entrepreneurs, I take that same approach further, using the alumni and student network of entrepreneurs to build bridges and make connections between people who share the same passion for building things. We've made that easy through a dedicated platform, cemsentrepreneurs.com.
Looking back, what is one insight that has had the greatest impact on your professional growth?
What I learned during my studies and later validated is that, at the beginning, you don't have to look for the highest salaries or the fanciest job titles out there. What really matters and you really need to focus on, is the team you are joining, its culture and, above all, how much you'll learn.
As long as you're learning in those first years, you're making the right choice. It's an insight I've kept following throughout my career, and it's the same advice I give to everyone starting out.
