Corvinus University of Budapest

Corvinus University is Hungary’s most eminent educational institution in the fields of Economic, Management and Social Sciences.  University-level education, just as in the most advanced countries of the world, started in Budapest in the1920s at the autonomous Economics Faculty of the Hungarian Royal University of Science and the development has never stopped since this moment.

From July 2019 Corvinus is maintained by a State foundation rather than by the State itself. This model allows for more flexible operations, it also ensures long-term and predictable planning. Corvinus stands for quality and opportunities, for state-of-the art and useful knowledge, for extensive social capital, for career opportunities, for life-long friendships and community. The institutional objective is fairly ambitious: to turn into an international university, to become one of the leading institutions of Central Europe in the field of economic, management and social sciences by 2030.

Living in the city

Budapest is the capital city of Hungary, its political, economic and cultural centre, owing to its unique natural and architectural factors it is one of the most popular European tourist destinations. Budapest is the 10th biggest city in the EU with good transport connections, and closeness to nature. It is among the most liveable cities in Eastern Europe based on health, environmental, cultural, educational and infrastructural factors.

All the conditions are present for spending memorable university years here. CEMS Club Budapest

CEMS Club Budapest was officially founded in 2000 by 37 participating members. Since then the Club aims at building a local CEMS network via enriching the CEMS experience for students, corporate partners, alumni and the academia. This goal is achieved by organizing numerous social and academic activities to support the integration of newly accepted students.

There are a lot of great opportunities to enjoy student life in Budapest! We go out together to have parties, play lasertag, bowling or cook for ourselves during the memorable running dinners. Regular events are the CEMS Winter Camp, Summer Camp and Christmas Ball. Concerning the professional activity, there is a regular contact with the corporate partners. Rotation Dinners, lectures and skill seminars are just a few examples for the cooperation.
